The pressure of TRANSITION can be uncomfortable.
Do you pick a word of the year for yourself? I started choosing a word of the year about 4 or 5 years ago. I pray about it and ask God if there's a word or phrase that will set the tone for my year.
Some say it's silly or isn't the best approach to living - or that's not how God works.
I'm not here to say everyone should do it. If it's how God works in my life, I won't assume that’s how He operates in yours, but at least I want to testify to how God is working in my life.
That being said, this year I got the word, TRANSITION. I thought it was going to be “transformation” but as I wrote the letters, it was “transition”. Then I had an image pop into my mind from a favorite childhood novel that brought personal meaning to that word. It was all so exciting and mysterious at the same time.
Now that it’s almost the third month of the year, I have noticed that there’s been a heavy emphasis in my life on strategy and creating systems. So I wondered why my word for the year wasn’t “strategy”.

I realized that as I’m being led to be strategic in the direction of my life and business, I’m not only developing systems as I go, but I feel the movement (the pull) of TRANSITION.
It’s like being sucked into a hole. I can feel it getting tighter and more restrictive, but it’s also pressing out what doesn’t belong. I’m both excited and nervous. It’s just the beginning, and God is so faithful to bring out results that exceed my expectations and hopes - yet I know that oftentimes, the pressure of the transition can be uncomfortable - and I do like comfort!
